Yes. Windlass Waterproof Rigid Core flooring is an ideal flooring solution for basements because it performs well over concrete slabs and in below-grade installations. Windlass Waterproof Laminate products are also approved for basement installations when proper moisture testing and installation procedures are followed. Windlass flooring is easy to maintain. Regularly sweep, dust mop, or vacuum using a hard-floor setting (disengage beater bar when vacuuming) to remove dirt and debris. For deeper cleaning, use a damp microfiber pad along with a Windlass approved hard surface floor cleaner. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, waxes, oil soaps, or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish. Steam mops are not recommended for Windlass flooring. High heat and excessive moisture may damage the locking system or affect long-term performance. For best results, use a damp microfiber mop with an approved flooring cleaner.

Both Waterproof Laminate and Waterproof Rigid Core flooring are durable, low-maintenance flooring options, but they are built differently. Waterproof Rigid Core flooring is made from luxury vinyl materials with a waterproof core that is unaffected by moisture. It offers excellent dent resistance, a slightly softer feel underfoot. Waterproof Laminate flooring uses a high-density fiberboard core with advanced waterproof technology. It provides an incredibly realistic wood appearance, excellent scratch resistance, and a solid, hardwood-like feel.
